Love this place
A lot of veggies to choose from.
Owner looks moody but he is really nice.
I love the all shrimp dishes and kalbi.
Make your way here and you will not be disappointed by the food. -

I have been here about 4 times this year and each time was because I was in the area and was just hungry for Korean.
Ive had most of the dishes here and the only thing I like is the Spicy Pork. Everything else from the Fish, Chicken, and Meat Jun tastes old. I do like that I get to choose the side dishes I want with the meal, however, nothing stands out. The Choi Sum tastes kinda old like it was made yesterday, set out, put in fridge, then served again next day. Im trying to be nice here as I could say a few more things about it but Ill leave it at that since I love choi sum and will power thru mediocre ones to satisfy my craving for it.
While I agree the man should not be up front taking orders, I dont have a problem with him because I understand the culture and Ive dealt with far worse. The restaurant feels a bit dirty and unkept so I would only do take out. I feel like Im walking into someones garage to order food sometimes lol. I would eat here again though but only when all limited conditions are met as I mentioned above, I need to be hella hungry, too lazy to drive a few more minutes elsewhere, in a good mood, and craving spicy pork. I do appreciate the massage chair and probably the thing that saves this from place from repeat visits and 1 star rating. -

Never coming here again.....
First off, the old korean man (owner) has no customer service skills whatsoever. No hi welcome, or what would you like?. Its more like you ready?
The sides options were sad tbh....mac salad had less than one scoop left (only when i asked for 2 scoops did he bring out more). Why not fill it up once it's practically out?
I ordered the bbq chicken and kalbi combo. The chicken was OFF! Flavor wise there was barely any. But more importantly freshness.....it was not fresh chicken! It was GREY with YELLOWISH coloring. I was honestly scared to eat it but I powered through one thigh. My husband went and asked for a sauce cup (idk what its called) and he wanted to charge us 25 cents for it. I know of places that give it to you for free. The long rice was too peppery. The mac salad was eh. And the shredded dicon just didn't seem fresh. The kalbi was ok but not the best I've had. My cousin got meat jun and that was actually pretty flavorful.
The place is dirty. Nasties and the wall that they can't even wipe off. Everything just felt grimy. I know a lot of korean bbq places like this aren't is the fanciest condition but this was just filthy.
As far as price goes it's cheaper than my fave korean bbq place which is pearls in waipahu town center. -

I decided to give this place a try again after a bad experience previously. Unfortunately it was bad again, ordered spicy pork, it's was dry and not even spicy, there was a few parts that was hard and unchewable, the sides was tasteless, it's pretty hard to screw up the shoyu potato but they did, it was hard and tasteless. The original reason I didn't revisit this place was because I saw the cook eating while cooking , not tasting but actually eating. People said this place was good but it still seems they haven't changed, maybe it's just because wahiawa has a few options they thought it was good. Another small minor complaint is that he didn't give any utensils or napkins for my takeout order of 4 plates and this review is fueled because I spent the last hour in the restroom TMI BUT just a warning.

Don't let the old school look of this restaurant scare you away... the Kalbi, mandoo kook so and fried tofu are my favorites there! And I can't forget the generous portions of sides I can choose from.
Gotta remember to phone order... but good food doesn't come instant. Lol!
